PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RE: FRISCO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT AND RADIO FREE FRISCO (.COM) JOIN FORCES TO BRING FRISCO RESIDENTS LIVE BROADCASTS OF FRISCO FOOTBALL GAMES THIS FALL 2009 SEASON

Frisco, Texas (August 5th, 2009) Radio Free Frisco (RFF), along with the Frisco Independent School District (FISD), is proud to announce the live broadcasting of FISD High School Football games this Fall 2009 season. The broadcasts will involve every high school in the FISD area with a “game of the week” format. The high schools involved in this venture are:

*      Liberty High School – Redhawks ( LHS)

*      Frisco High School – Raccoons (FHS)

*      Wakeland High School – Wolverines (WHS)

*      Centennial High School – Titans (CHS)

Most games will be broadcast from either Memorial Stadium or Pizza Hut Park and will be broadcast on the sports channel of Radio Free Frisco (.com) internet radio station. The broadcasts will be done live with a play-by-play announcer and a color commentator. “This is a big win for the community of Frisco and the surrounding communities who have students who attend Frisco ISD. Having High School football games broadcast every week makes it easier for more families, students and distant relatives to be a part of the football and school community,” said Steve Skonning, General Manager of Radio Free Frisco. Steve Skonning also stated, “We are looking for an exciting season of football in Frisco and are hoping that this will quickly translate into broadcasting more sports for the district (FISD). We envision broadcasting soccer, basketball, softball and baseball to name a few. Plus, as things progress, Radio Free Frisco would like to broadcast other events within the school district maybe even some middle school contests.”

RFF will be interviewing potential broadcasters in the next couple of days, although a few broadcasters are already aboard, more will be needed in the near future. If you are interested in a position as an announcer and have experience, RFF would like to talk to you. Please contact Steve Skonning at SSkonning@radiofreefrisco.com. Attach any resumes and/or pertinent information as well.
